Ou Yang
Ou Yang, born in 1937, professor of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, director of the Chinese Oil Painting Association, student of artist Zhao Wuji. She has been active in the realm of art since 1960s, especially proficient in oil painting and ink painting. Started with the traditional realistic style, she was affected by Zhao Wuji’s oil painting workshop, and began to explore “Imagism Painting”. Ou yang possesses a very sensitive intuition of light and color. Her works are full of radiance and cheer, revealing the warm and moist atmosphere of southern China, and the imagination of form and material. In this way, an inward emotional element makes the work full of vigorous vitality. Her works are well-known in the worldwide, and are collected by the National Art Museum of China, Guangdong Art Museum, Chinese Embassy in the UK, and Prince Charles of the UK.
